About this Artist

Los Caramelos were formed in Boyle Heights, CA in September of 2023 by Dominick Maldonado (First Voice, Requinto) and Matthew Jacquez (Second Voice, Guitar). With the addition of Miguel A. Balán (Third Voice) and Larry M. Harvey II (percussion), Los Caramelos have brought bolero moderno to life once again in Los Angeles. Together, they bring the vocal harmony and sounds seemingly straight from the record.

Los Caramelos pay homage to the great Mexican tríos of the 1950s such as Los Tres Ases and Los Tres Caballeros - both of which groups added the touch of Jazz to the genre of bolero which was very popular in the 1940s.
